Eight and Nupo debuts

A media preview at the brand new Nupo and Eight restaurants, in the East Village by Calgary’s Chef Darren MacLean of Calgary’s Japanese style, Shokunin restaurant.

Chef MacLean gained recent notoriety competing as Canada’s sole contender on the Netflix programme, The Final Table. He is currently collaborating with Princess Cruises.

Nupo is a Japanese-style restaurant with a focus on vegetarian and vegan cuisine with fresh and dry-aged sushi. The Omakasse experience of 3 snacks, a sashimi tasting, 12 nigiri, a handroll, soup, and dessert starts at $125pp, pre-paid.

Eight is a hidden reservations-only, 8-seat dining experience featuring an interactive tasting of Canadian terroir. Pricing begins at $185 per person, pre-paid.

Both restaurants are situated in the Alt Hotel, East Village on Confluence Way, minutes from Calgarys city centre.
