Fashion Calgary Gala - November 9, 2017

(Calgary, Canada) Tickets are now available for Fashion Calgary's 2017 gala event taking place on Thursday, November 9th, 2017. The event celebrates the TOP 25 Ambassadors who are shaping the cultural scene in Calgary and across Canada while raising funds to support Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta.

Past Fashion Calgary ambassadors include Sheldon Kennedy, Hayley Wickenheiser, Tom Jackson, Kelly Hrudey, Brett Wilson, Jay Ingram, Chad Oakes, Dave Pierce, Paul Rogalski, Connie de Sousa, John Jackson, and Michelle Cameron.

Tickets (Eventbrite) to this year's gala are $125 per person, where guests will "dress to impress" with a red carpet arrival from 7pm at the Courtyard by Marriott Calgary South.

From 7.30pm-9.30pm, guests will indulge in La Marca Prosecco and small bites from Chef Duncan Ly (Foreign Concept), Chef Rogelio Herrera (Alloy Dining), Chef Liana Robberecht (WinSport Canada), and Chef Domenic Tudda (Pulcinella).

Around 8.15pm there will be a live auction followed by live music from The Cocktail Club featuring Kait Shane. Silent and live auction items this year include a Weekend with Rolls Royce experience, Tom Ford sunglasses, skincare and beauty products, and fashion brand packages. DJ and dancing will round out the night, closing the doors at 1am.

Fashion Calgary’s Portrait Campaign is an initiative spearheaded by Fashion Calgary’s Founders, Ania Basak and Rafal Wegiel, which celebrates cultural leaders in our community.

Co-founder Ania Basak said this year's Portrait Campaign marks a major milestone: "This year is a special celebration for Canada 150 - marking the milestone of featuring 150 Ambassadors for the last six years."

Over the last six years of the event, Fashion Calgary gala event has raised over $30,000 for charities in Calgary.
